Manos Fuera de Venezuela hospeda la visita de un líder de la UNT a Gran Bretaña.

Rubén Linares, del Comité Nacional Co-ordinador de la UNT Venezolana visito Gran Bretaña durante una semana hospedado por Manos Fuera de Venezuela. La visita fue parte de una exitosa conferencia nacional de HOV (Manos Fuera de Venezuela), en la que Rubén participÃ³. Rubén estÃ¡ a la izquierda del sindicato y estuvo muy satisfecto con su visita, la cual le permitiÃ³ conocer a un gran numero de sindicalistas, incluyendo representantes del TUC. HablÃ³ a la Ejecutiva Nacional del sindicato de ferrocarriles, el RMT y a la del sindicato de bomberos, el FBU. Rubén tambien se dirigiÃ³ al Departamento Internacional del TUC y conociÃ³ a Brendan Barber, el Secretario General. Tambien hablÃ³ en un acto, patrocinado por el parlamentario John McDonnell, de miembros del parlamento en la CÃ¡mara de los Comunes.

Hands Off Venezuela Hosts UNT leader’s visit to Britain

Ruben Linares of the National Coordinating Committee of the Venezuelan UNT visited Britain for a week, hosted by the Hands Off Venezuela campaign. The visit was part of the successful national conference of HOV, which he addressed. Ruben stands on the left of the union and was extremely pleased by the visit, which allowed him to meet with a large number of trade unionists, including representatives of the TUC. He addressed the National Executives of the rail union, the RMT, and the fire-fighters union, the FBU. He spoke to members of the international department of the TUC and also met Brendan Barber, its General Secretary and also addressed a meeting of Members of Parliament at the House of Commons, sponsored by John McDonnell MP.

The supporters of the Hands Off Venezuela campaign in Greece have been working to build up the campaign within the Greek labour movement and youth. The official launch of the campaign on November 25 in the headquarters of the GSEE, the main trade union federation was a successful start.

Hands Off Venezuela first National Conference in Britain: Huge step forward for the campaign

On Saturday December 3^rd over 200 people attended the founding conference of the British Hands Off Venezuela campaign at the main hall of the London headquarters of NATFHE – the union of lecturers in further education. It was attended by people from all over Britain. The majority were activists in the British labour and trade union movement, although there was also a large number of youth and students.
