Screening of new documentary on workers' control in Caracas

On Monday, August 28, a public screening of a new documentary about workers' control in Venezuela was held at the Teressa Carreño in central Caracas, with the support of the Ministry of Culture. More than 250 people turned up to see "5 Factories - Workers' Control in Venezuela", a film produced by two Italian filmmakers, Dario Azellini and Oliver Ressler.

Some 14,000 Cuban doctors now give free treatment to Venezuela's poor and 3,000 Cuban medical staff worked in the aftermath of last year's Kashmir earthquake. Cuba has plans to heal those poorer than itself.

Hands Off Venezuela joined in the 100,000 strong march that last Saturday, August 5, filled the streets of London with angry demonstrators who, disgusted at the murdering brutality of the Israeli government, demanded an immediate ceasefire.
