On July 5th 2006, the
Venezuela Solidarity Network launched a
public campaign to stop the distribution of the video game “Mercenaries
2: World in Flamesâ€, the game that depicts the virtual invasion of
Venezuela, the overthrow of the government, the destruction of major Venezuelan
cities and rural areas, and the takeover of the oil industry. We publish here VSN's new appeal.

called on the army to put down a mass uprising. HoV London has organised a screening of the film documentary "Llaguno

Denmark has organised a speaking tour with Patrick Larsen, an eyewitness to the
revolutionary events in Venezuela.
To date four meetings have been organised across the country with three more
planned for this week.

ever meeting on Bolivarian revolution held in Luxemburg. At the end of the
meeting left and trade union activists committed themselves to building
solidarity with the Venezuelan Revolution.

On Tuesday the HOV delegation that went to Venezuela
during the December elections, showed video-clips and slides from their visit
and spoke about their experience. The most striking part was their visit to the
Sanitarios Maracay factory now being run by the workers after they occupied it
back in November. John McDonnell MP and Alan Woods, founder of the HOV
campaign, were among the main speakers, as was the Venezuelan Ambassador,
Alfredo Toro Hardy.
