Since its launch on 28 April 2008, HOV Indonesia has become an active medium for
discussions on the Venezuelan Revolution, especially around the issue
of nationalization of the oil and gas industry in Indonesia. It has managed to reach out to various marginalized sectors of the
population: the youth, workers, women, urban poor, and young artists.

Venezuela entitled, “Venezuela: Political Reform or Regime Demise?”
Considering that the ICG is recognized today as one of the leading
sources for the prevention and resolution of violent conflict in the
world, the report is underwhelming in the amount of factual information
and objective sources it utilizes.

plunder" by the Argentinean film director Fernando "Pino" Solanas. It was part
of the film season Venezuela:

The Communications Workers Union (CWU) invited Hands Off Venezuela
along with other Latin American solidarity campaigns and guest speakers to
speak at a Latin America fringe meeting held on the opening day of the Union's
Annual Conference in Liverpool last Sunday. The CWU
renewed their affiliation to Hands Off Venezuela, reaffirming the importance of
the Venezuelan revolution to workers here in the UK.

Opposition students in Venezuela are depicted as poor
victims of an authoritarian regime. The world media pick up on this and repeat
the fairy tale until people start to believe it. But these students are such
victims that they receive hundreds of thousands of dollars in the form of the
"Milton Friedman Liberty Prize". Friedman's Chicago Boys were also
advisers to Pinochet, no doubt also seen as a "victim" by these people.
